~ Lao Tzu
This is not training of simply learning poses, and how to teach them, but a time for intense practice, reflection, and transformation. An opportunity to learn firsthand about the power of yoga, to make real change happen; for yourself and others. This is yoga for real life.
Healing Movement offers its Yoga Teaching Training program over the course of one year to provide students ample time to incorporate the principles of yoga into their life. In addition to allowing the teachings to become organic, this time allows for the cultivation of sangha (community). This sangha creates a loving, supportive place where students can allow themselves to truly open and heal using the tools and skills they learn in the program. Healing Movement does not just teach yoga and its principles, it offers students a loving place to apply those tools in their own life. Students in Healing Movement aspire to embodiment and transformation through the study and practice of yoga. One of our guiding principle is that we cannot teach what we, as yogis, do not experience.
With a personal mission of serving those with chronic conditions, I am so grateful for the breadth and depth of Healing Movement’s comprehensive 500 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program. Encompassing postures, breathing, yogic philosophy, Thai Yoga, Ayurvedic Medicine, and yogic philosophy, this program focused on how yoga heals! Within a community of inspiring students, I gained practical experiences and transformative tools from outstanding teachers. This program addressed how yoga restores us on the physical, energetic, mental, emotional and spiritual levels and gave me specific techniques to help my yoga students be in their bodies and deepen their self awareness through personal experience.
Our program teaches you how to teach yoga, in a therapeutic way.
